CVEA President Chosen to Lead ASEAN Valuers Association Next Term

The Cambodia Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA) President Chrek Soknim has been chosen to be the next president of the ASEAN Valuers Association (AVA). Cambodia is also honoured to also be hosting the AVA congress meeting next year.

Mr Chrek told Construction & Property Magazine that he and all the CVEA members are very proud to receive this responsibility and pledged to do their best to pursue the AVA’s objectives.

“Having a chance to be the president is not only the pride for myself and CVEA members, but also for Cambodia as well. We can prove that Cambodia can also effectively perform the task. Further, it is also a great opportunity for me to learn and exchange ideas and challenges among other international members,” said Mr Chrek.

“I am sincerely committed to doing my best. We will keep enhancing the standard of property evaluations to make sure that we perform the task effectively, sustainably, and transparently” he added.

Mr Chrek also stated that Cambodia will host the next AVA Congress meeting in July 2021, for which the exact date will be later determined.

“The main agenda of congress will be about sharing experiences and challenges. However, the additional agenda is to introduce the potential of Cambodia to the international stage. We want to present not only the greatness of our real estate but also our investor-friendly culture to other ASEAN members as well,” said Mr Chrek.
