Domestic cement production reaches nearly 8 million tons in 11 months

During the 11-month period of 2021, five domestic cement factories produced a total of 7.9 million tons of cement, which is equal to the amount produced last year, according to Cambodian Cement Manufacturing Association Secretary-General Puth Chandarith.

“From January to November 2021, it did not decrease in production, we produced the amount as we did last year. We still have 7,989,864 tons from the five companies,” said Mr Chandarith on Monday 27 December.

Mr Chandarith expects that in 2022, economic growth will help boost the construction sector through investment projects; hence, the cement product will also increase.

Currently, Cambodia has 5 cement companies, including Kampot Cement, Chip Mong Inc. Cement Corporation, Chakrei Ting Cement, Battambang Cement Company and Thai Bunrong Cement Company.
