First “euro Fair” to Be Hosted in Capital

The first “Euro Fair” will be held this weekend to showcase European products from different business industries to the Cambodian market.

Hosted on from 29 June to 1 July 2018, around 40 companies will showcase their products at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre ranging from automotive, furniture, consumer goods, machinery, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, financial services, food, beverages and other products.

The event is being organised by the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) and supported by the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), Cambodia Airports, France’s Chamber of Commerce (CCIFC) German Business Group in Cambodia (ADW), British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham) Italian-Cambodian Business Association (ICBA) and NordCham Cambodia.

Speaking with Business-Cambodia, CEO of KK Italy Trading Co., Ltd. and EuroCham board member Aurelio Flacco said that the fair will display high-quality Italian products for the construction sector such as furniture and luxury products for home décor.

According to European Union Ambassador to Cambodia George Edgar, Cambodia exported USD$5 billion (2017) worth of goods to the European Union, about 45 percent of the country’s total exports, mostly garments and footwear, rice, and bicycles.
