Five Hectares of Land in Boeung Kanseng Lake in Rattanakiri to Become Multi-Purpose Development

Ratanakkiri Governor Thon Saron recently led an official group to inspect and access impacts of the 5-hectare Boeung Kanseng Infrastructure Development Project in Banlung district, Ratanakkiri province.

During the inspection on 14 December, HE Saron said that the 45 families affected by this project have already agreed to voluntarily remove their stalls from the sidewalk to allow the authorities to develop the project.

According to the plan, the project includes the construction of an administration building, theatre, museum, exhibition hall, parking lot, walkway around the lake, parks, and islands for a bird sanctuary in the middle of the lake.

The Boeung Kanseng area comprises approximately 19 hectares of water area and over 5 hectares of land, which are being developed.
