Five Investment Projects Worth Over US$44m Approved for SHV & PP

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given permission to private firms to invest US$44.4 million in establishing five factories in SHV province, and Phnom Penh.

The first firm is Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, which will invest US$36.7 million to establish an assembly plant in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.

The second firm is WCFO (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, which will invest US$3.8 million to establish a box and metal component factory in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.

The Third firm is Thirty Three Apparels (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, which will invest US$2.1 million to establish a garment factory in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.

The fourth firm is A & M Clothing Co., Ltd, which will invest US$1 million to establish a garment factory in the special economic zone in Sihanoukville.

The fifth firm is WCFO ASAMA Co., Ltd, which will invest US$805,000 to establish a spare parts factory in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.

According to the CDC, the five new projects will create 950 jobs.
