Four New Investment Projects Worth US$171.9m Approved for Sihanoukville

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given permits to private firms to invest US$171.9 million in establishing a 5-star hotel and three factories in Sihanoukville.

The first firm is MARITIME CITY CO., LTD, which will invest US$164, 4 million in the construction and operation of a 5-star hotel (582 rooms) and an entertainment centre in Village 2, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.

The second firm is ONEPLUS NEW MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, which will invest US$5.5 million to establish a factory to produce plastic pipes, pipe fittings, all kinds of plastic pipes and accessories in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville, Sihanoukville province.

The third firm is JINLAI TEXTILES CO., LTD, which will invest US$1 million to establish a quilt factory in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville.

The fourth firm is XINJINCAI PLASTIC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, which will invest US$1 million to establish a factory to produce all kinds of packaging materials made of plastic, scotch, and stickers in the special economic zone of Sihanoukville.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the three new projects will create 1,705 jobs.
