PPAP Marks Robust Growth with 7% Revenue Increase, More Than US$8m, in Q1 2024

The Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP) has reported a significant revenue increase of 7% in the first quarter of 2024, totalling US$8,064,657, as compared to the corresponding period in 2023. This financial uplift, detailed in a press release dated 12 April 2024, the port’s growing economic influence in the region.

A breakdown of the earnings reveals a 12% increase in port operations revenue, amounting to US$6,517,185. Revenue from port authorities surged by 14% to US$1,309,693, while income from other services experienced a decline of 69%, settling at US$237,779.

Notably, in March alone, PPAP’s earnings reached US$2,849,608 (unaudited), marking a 6% increase from March 2023.

The financial report comes on the heels of PPAP’s strategic expansion, underscored by the inauguration of three multi-purpose satellite terminals: TS11 in Phnom Penh, UM2 in Tbong Khmum, and LM26 in Prey Veng. This expansion is poised to bolster the port’s operational capacity and enhance its service offerings, further solidifying its position as a pivotal maritime gateway in the region. (Read more)
