Rail and Transit
Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System Link
AECOM Perunding Sdn Bhd – Malaysia and Singapore
The Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) is a cross-border project that will ease traffic congestion between Malaysia and Singapore. AECOM used Bentley applications to optimize planning, design, and construction with automated workflows, saving 50% in drafting time. They also developed a reality mesh from drone-captured images, accelerating survey and processing fivefold.
Automated Design of Civil and Architectural Structures with STAAD API
Hyundai Engineering – Seoul, South Korea
Hyundai Engineering sought to streamline information exchange and automate the design of chemical and electrical power plants. They used Bentley’s STAAD structural application to automate design and used artificial intelligence to create designs through machine learning predictions. The integrated digital solution accelerated front-end engineering design by 30% and accumulated a database of 1,680 scenarios.
Construction of 318 MLD (70 MGD) Wastewater Treatment Plant at Coronation Pillar
L&T Construction – New Delhi, India
L&T Construction delivered Coronation Pillar, a new wastewater treatment plant that treats 318 million liters of sewage per day. They selected STAAD to model multiple designs with various loading configurations and applications, achieving a land savings of 17.8% and concrete savings of 5% while reducing the time to achieve an optimal solution by 75%.
Upon completion, MRT-1 will be Bangladesh’s first underground metro line. RISE is designing the stations along MRT-1, and faced challenges given the unique steel roof geometry and varying station elements. They selected STAAD to model and analyze the steel roof structure and reinforced concrete stresses, improving data synchronization by 50% and reducing modeling time by 30%.
Achieving 24×7 Access to Clean Drinking Water for Emerging Economies
Geoinfo Services – Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India
Geoinfo Services planned and designed a pressurized city water supply scheme to provide 24-hour access to clean water and reduce non-revenue water by 35%. They selected OpenFlows to generate a digital twin, reducing design time by 75%. The optimized network is saving USD 1.5 million in annual operating expenses while eliminating 347 tons of carbon emissions per year.
L&T Construction – Ashok Nagar and Guna, Madhya Pradesh, India
Rajghat’s multivillage rural water supply schemewill provide irrigation and power generation to residents via a 7,890-kilometer piping system, including 698 overhead tanks and ancillary pumps and equipment. Leveraging Bentley applications, the team completed engineering within four months, when conventional methods could have taken 12 to 13 months to finish. Working in an open digital environment saved 50% in modeling time, increasing productivity by 32 times.
