Koh Tonsay Set to Become Luxurious Natural Tourist Destination

The Kep Municipal Administration has vowed to develop Koh Tonsay into a luxurious natural tourist destination, through cooperation with private firm Try Pheap Group Co., Ltd

The remark was made by Kep Governor HE Som Piseth on 1 November, citing that Try Pheap Group has been granted a permit for this large-scale development project.

“Although we put efforts to conserve existing natural resources, some places we also need to develop into a beautiful and attractive area,” said HE Piseth.

“Koh Tonsay beach is now to be developed by Try Pheap Group Co., Ltd and will be a beautiful place to serve the tourism sector in the future,” he added.

According to the firm, the mix-used development project would cost US$130-million, spreading over 140 hectares of land in Koh Tonsay. In September, the firm began shipping construction materials to the location as the foundation work of the construction process has already started. (Read more)

Meanwhile, the Kep provincial administration also plans to build a new tourist port on Koh Tonsay as well, with groundbreaking is set to begin this month. (Read more)
