Construction Begins on Koh Yor-Koh Kong Bridge in Koh Kong

The construction of a concrete bridge connecting to Koh Yor has begun, according to the Director of Koh Kong Public Works Department of Koh Kong Province on 22 August.

Located in Bak Klang commune in Mondul Seima district, Koh Kong province, the bridge is 126m long and 11m wide.

Worth US$1.4 million and funded by Ly Yong Phat Group, construction will take a year and a half to be completed.

The construction of this bridge came after PM Samdech Hun Sen expressed his concern about the old wooden bridge that is difficult and dangerous for commuters and urged the private firm to help renovate it. (Read more)
