MPWT Requires Road Infrastructure Construction Company Owners to Have a Licence

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) announced on 18 July 2022 that public entities and private companies wanting to renew their licences for any road infrastructure business or change the type of license must apply to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport at least three months before the license expiration.

When applying to renew the license, applicants must bring their valid license and annual reports.

Organisations and private companies wishing to do business related to road infrastructure, road maintenance, technical consulting services, road construction, project design, inspection, and opening laboratories related to the above services must apply for the licence(s) at the Ministry of Public Works in accordance with the conditions and procedures for applying for a business licence set by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Those who do not have a business licence as mentioned above will be subject to penalties in accordance with the provisions of the Road Law.
