New Public Beach in Kep Province Ready for Tourists

The 2,700-metre-long new public beach in Kep is ready to welcome visitors on New Year’s Day, although works related to tree planting and gardening are not yet complete.

HE Som Piseth, Governor of Kep Province, said on 5 April that the work of filling soil and building concrete roads in this beach area is 100% completed.

“The project is not yet complete for the dredging, planting trees and gardens. However, national and international tourists can visit the beach area for relaxing. To date, people and tourists have already entered the beach, he said.

Under this new public beach development project, a 2.7km long muddy beach from the Crab Market to a mangrove forest zone in Phum Thmey village has been transformed into a standard natural beach with plenty of activities. (Read more)
