Over 140 Hectares of Boeung Ta Mok Land Allocated to the Ministry of Justice

The government has reclassified 140 hectares of Boeung Ta Mok Lake from state public property to state private property and handed it over to the Ministry of Justice.

This allocation was made through a sub-decree signed by Prime Minister Hun Sen dated October 2021.

This is the second time the government allocated a land plot in Boeung Ta Mok Lake to the Ministry of Justice. In September 2020, the government also issued a sub-decree on reclassifying over 8 hectares of Boeung Ta Mok to state private land and then handed it to the Ministry of Justice. (Read more)

A sub-decree on setting the Ta Mok Lake as a state public property, issued in 2016, stated that Boeung Ta Mok or Boeung Kob Srov, located north of Phnom Penh in Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh covers an area of more than 3200 hectares.

By the end of 2021, according to documents obtained by Construction & Property Magazine, more than 1,000 hectares of Ta Mok Lake have been allocated to both the public and private sectors. (Read more and more)
