Ring Road 3 Now 74% Complete

The Phnom Penh Ring Road 3 was 73.70% complete as of 25 May 2022 and is scheduled to be completed as planned during September 2022. This is according to the Department of Public Works and Transport of Phnom Penh on 25 May 2022.

According to the Phnom Penh Department of Public Works and Transport, the third ring road is a city ring road from the southwest to the east of Phnom Penh, with a length of 53km and a width of 22km from National Road 4 to National Road 1, with a 22 cm thick reinforced concrete surface.

This project was opened for construction in January 2019. Ring Road 3 goes through Kandal province for nearly 38km and 15km in Phnom Penh and will cost about US$273 million via a loan from China.

The road is being built by Shanghai Construction Group Co., Ltd. with technical inspection by Guangzhou Wanan Construction Supervision Co., Ltd.

In addition to Ring Road 3 being under construction, the government also plans to build a Ring Road 3 on the east side of the capital to create a complete ring road. (Read more)
