State Secretariat of Civil Aviation to Set Up Compliant Helicopter Landing Procedures at Koh Pich

Officials from the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation (SSCA) inspected the safety of the helicopter landing site at Koh Pich on 28 January and plan to set up a compliant landing route or known as flight procedures design (SID/STAR) there as well.

According to Capt. Khan Vanna, Director General for Technical and Operations of SSCA, the inspection includes checking on the Environmental Assessment of Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS), and Reduction of Noise Abatement in the area.

Meanwhile, he added that the objective of the future arrangement of the proper landing procedure is to ensure public safety in the area. However, he did not provide any further details on the project.

In the meantime, he also urged all the firms doing business in the aviation industry in Cambodia to obey the rules and regulation, especially the CCAR PART 12 – Aerodromes -Cambodian Civil Aviation Regulations.
