Gov’t Approves Payment Guarantee for 670 MW Power Plant Projects in 4 Provinces

The King of the Kingdom of Cambodia has promulgated a law endorsing the government’s payment guarantee for 07 power plant projects, totaling 670 megawatts, in Koh Kong, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Kampong Chhnang, and Pursat provinces.

These projects are being implemented by four companies, each contributing to the growth of Cambodia’s power generation capacity:

  • Khmer Electric Power Company: Responsible for the Stung Russey Chrum Kandal Hydropower Development Project (70 MW) and the Stung Veal Thmor Kambot Hydropower Development Project (100 MW) in Koh Kong Province.
  • Lucky Solar Power Co., Ltd.: Focusing on the development of an 80-megawatt solar power plant in Prey Veng province.
  • Snettech Co., Ltd.: Engaged in the development of a 60-megawatt solar power plant in Kampong Chhnang province and another 60-megawatt solar power plant in Svay Rieng province.
  • Stung Meteuk Hydropower Company: Tasked with the Stung Meteuk 150 MW Hydropower Development Project in Koh Kong Province.

In addition to the aforementioned projects, Snettech Co., Ltd. will also develop a 150-megawatt solar power plant in Pursat province.  (Read more)
