  • Expediting the development of the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap corridor by ensuring the timely completion of the aforementioned expressway project.
  • Ensure Regular progress reports which will be submitted to the head of the Royal Government through the Office of the Council of Ministers, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The Phnom Penh-Siem Reap Expressway project, a significant infrastructure venture, is being executed by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.

In a recent milestone, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) signed a framework agreement with CRBC to conduct an in-depth study of the project’s construction, including the first phase spanning approximately 250 kilometers from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. The second phase, covering a distance of 150 kilometers from Siem Reap to Poipet, is also part of the study, with a comprehensive analysis expected to be completed within 12 months. (Read more)
