Runa Ek Transforms: Siem Reap’s Visionary Journey to ‘Runa Ek Techo Sen City’ Unveiled

The Cambodian government has formally declared the metamorphosis of Runa Ek into the distinguished “Runa Ek Techo Sen City,” as decreed in Sub-Decree No. 07, issued on 11 January 2024.

The birth of Run Ta Ek Techo Sen city in Siem Reap province involves the dedication of Run Ta Ek commune from Banteay Srei district and Throne commune from Prasat Bakong district. Administered through Sangkat Run Ta Ek and Sangkat Throne, this visionary development is poised to be a nucleus of progress.

Notably, the Royal Government envisions Run Ta Ek Techo Sen city as a catalyst for employment generation, leveraging its existing robust infrastructure. Already endowed with substantial facilities, the area is strategically positioned to evolve into a thriving urban landscape. (Read more)

Simultaneously, Samdech Thipadei has directed the Ministry of Land Management and affiliated institutions to spearhead the necessary services for the development of Run Ta Ek.
