The rehabilitation project of National Road No. 31 (from Bek Kus to Kampong Trach) has achieved almost 99%

The rehabilitation project for National Road No. 31, stretching from Bek Kus to Kampong Trach, is nearing completion, achieving an impressive 98.68% progress as of October 21, 2024.

This update comes from a progress review meeting led by HE Khan Maner, Secretary of State and Director of the Rehabilitation and Upgrading Project, alongside construction technicians on the morning of October 21, 2024.

HE Khan Maner reported that National Road No. 31, with a total length of 53.54 km—from the Bek Kus intersection with National Road No. 3 to Kampong Trach District Town, where it connects to National Road No. 33—has reached 98.68% completion. He noted that this progress indicates the project will be finished a year ahead of schedule while maintaining high technical standards.

The progress report revealed that the installation of two layers of AC rubber has been completed in full, and the installation of traffic safety equipment—including traffic signs, road signs, and guide rails—is nearly finished.

For clarity, it’s important to emphasize that the restoration and improvement project encompasses a total length of 53.54 km, starting from Bek Kus, the intersection with National Road No. 3, to Kampong Trach district town, linking to National Road No. 33. The construction commenced on December 30, 2022.
