NR No. 48 Rehabilitation Project (Sre Ambel-Koh Kong) Achieves 60.50% Completion, Set for 2025 Finish

The rehabilitation and upgrading project of NR No. 48 (Sre Ambel-Koh Kong), spanning 148km, has reached 60.50% completion and is scheduled to be finished by 2025. This progress was reported during a site visit by HE So Vector, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, on 5 June 2024.

During the visit, HE So Vector, along with the Technical Working Group, Technical Advisors, and Construction Companies, inspected key construction sites to ensure compliance with technical standards. The inspection revealed that the project is on track to be completed by the dry season of 2025.

HE So Vector emphasised the importance of installing safety signs at construction sites to ensure the safety of travellers and prevent traffic accidents.

The project, which began on 3 January 2022, aims to improve a crucial 148km stretch of road from the intersection with NR No. 4 PK 141 + 750 (Chamkar Luong – Sre Ambel district) to Khemarak Phoumin, Koh Kong province. The total budget for this project is approximately US$ 78 million. (Read more)
