US$160 million Morodok Techo Stadium Set for Final Completion in August

The construction of the Chinese-funded US$160 million Morodok Techo Stadium has been 100% completed with only some decorating and gardening works remaining.

Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia Vath Chamroeun said that the general construction, seat installation, lighting and sound systems are all complete.

The remaining outside decoration work will be completed by August.

The stadium is being built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation on over 94 hectares in Prek Ta Sek commune, Russey Keo district with US$160 million of Chinese grant aid.

With ground broken in April 2017, the stadium will be able to accommodate over 60,000 visitors upon completion and will be ready to host the 32nd SEA Games in 2023.
