France Agrees to Help Cambodia Turn Phnom Penh Into a Modern City

The French Republic has agreed to help Cambodia to develop Phnom Penh into a modern city, according to a Facebook post on the Phnom Penh City Hall’s account.

According to Phnom Penh City Hall, on 05 November,2018, top officials from Paris​ agreed to assist Cambodia on various development projects in Phnom Penh, as requested by Cambodia.

According to the same source, in the meeting between Phnom Penh Governor H.E Khuong Sreng and Paris Mayor and President of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) Anne Hidalgo, Cambodia and France agreed to cooperate on the development of Phnom Penh to be a modern green city with a good environment.

In addition, France also agreed to assist Phnom Penh by sending experts for the consultation of the management plan of the single road.
