GDT implements real estate surveys in provinces

The General Department of Taxation is conducting a property survey in Siem Reap province after completing tax services to property owners in 14 districts of Phnom Penh and some provinces, including Kandal, Battambang and Banteay Meanchey.

Real estate surveys are essential to gather information for the modernization of taxpayer services by paying taxes at partnered banks that have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Economy and Finance simply by using a payment ID of property tax after registration and updating of property information and online tax payment (GDT Taxpayer Application).

Next, the General Department of Taxation (GDT) and the Kampot Provincial Authority will soon conduct on-site inspections to update the real estate information in all five Sangkats in Kampot city from 9 June onwards, according to a press release on 30 May 2022. (Read more)

According to GDT, real estate surveys benefit including accurate fiscal policy, precise basis in the preparation of the appropriate annual budget, modernization of services to taxpayers, clear basic data in the collection of property taxes and other related taxes, the data for analysis and reporting and facilitate the management and services of taxpayers.
