In a resounding testament to Cambodia’s ever-evolving tech landscape, GGear Group has unveiled LG Electronics’ 2023 and 2024 product lineup. The LG products introduced to the Cambodian market this year place a robust emphasis on smart technology, aesthetic innovation, uncompromising quality, durability, affordability, and local relevance. Hor Hab, CEO of GGear Group, remarked on the collaborative effort with LG Electronics, highlighting their shared commitment to aspects like consumer health, environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, affordability, and user-friendliness. He emphasised, “LG products have garnered immense popularity and acclaim in Cambodia. Our approach goes beyond mere sales; we are dedicated to empowering consumers to harness the full spectrum of technology. This is achieved through extensive training for business partners, dedicated staff, sales and service teams, coupled with vigorous social media promotion.”

Heng Senghat, LG Product Manager at GGear Group, underscored LG Electronics’ relentless pursuit of quality and innovation for 2023 and 2024. These advancements are engineered to streamline users’ lives, saving them valuable time and money across home, office, and commercial settings.

Among the highlights for this year’s product focus are LG’s cutting-edge air conditioners, televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines. LG’s air conditioner range places a strong emphasis on state-of-the-art technology, offering mobile-controlled lighting and a respiratory protection system with antenna control.

The new line of refrigerators, designed with a luxurious exterior, spacious interior, and impressive energy efficiency, has been tailored to cater to modern consumers’ needs. These refrigerators excel in preserving the freshness of vegetables and fruits, ensuring longevity, and consuming minimal power.

LG’s washing machines, equally innovative, prioritise fabric care, thorough cleaning, quick wash cycles, and rapid drying. Notably, LG Electronics has introduced features like LG Turbo Wash, Turbo Wash 3D, and Turbo Wash 3600^o to enhance washing efficiency, speed, and energy efficiency.

In the realm of television, LG has elevated smart TVs to the status of comprehensive entertainment hubs. These TVs mirror the ease of smartphone use with an intuitive user interface. They seamlessly manage household appliances, serve as viable substitutes for office work computers, and archive software usage history for easy retrieval.

Oknha Sok Piseth, CEO of GGear Group, predicts an uptick in electronic product demand in 2023 compared to 2022. This surge is attributed to rural community development, facilitated by government efforts to provide reliable water and electricity supplies. As such, the affordability of electronic devices has become a feasible solution for daily living and business. However, Piseth acknowledges that the electronics sector still grapples with challenges such as the influx of illegal products and customs evasion via various border crossings. Additionally, market price competition poses profitability challenges for traders.

He said that the purpose of the day’s program was to increase closer ties and maintain a common goal to promote the electronics sector in Cambodia as fully legitimate, competitive, transparent, and provide added value for consumers. From providing services and products to LG Electronics.

The event, which took place on 27 September 2023, at the Sun & Moon River Hotel in Phnom Penh, attracted nearly 200 business partners from the surrounding provinces. It was organised by GGear Group, the distinguished distributor of LG Electronics’ residential and business product range.
