Cambodia’s Gold Production Nears 13 Tonnes by Early November, Boosting Mineral Wealth

Cambodia’s gold refineries have reached a significant milestone, refining nearly 13 tonnes of gold by early November 2024, as reported by the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

Leading the charge, Renaissance Minerals Company in Mondulkiri province produced 807 gold bars weighing a total of 12,536 kg, while Rong Cheng Company, also located in Mondulkiri, contributed an additional 12 gold bars, amounting to 22 kg.

These production figures were disclosed by HE Ung Dipola, Director General of the General Department of Mines, during a press conference on 6 November 2024.

Currently, ten gold mining companies are actively operating in Cambodia:

  1. Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia) Ltd: O’Khvav area, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province.
  2. Xinshan: Phnom Mlong area, Preah Vihear province.
  3. Delcom Cambodia: Phnom Mlong area, Preah Vihear province.
  4. Rong Cheng Company: Chong Plas area, Mondulkiri province.
  5. Jiangxi Mining Energy Development Co., Ltd.: Otron area, Kratie province.
  6. LATE CHENG MINING DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD: Phnom Chi area, Kampong Thom province.
  7. Phu Yuan Company: Phnom Prek, Battambang province.
  8. Cambodia K88: Phnom Chi, Kampong Thom province.
  9. Oriental Wisdom Company: Phnom Pang, Ratanakkiri province.
  10. Mesco Gold Company: O’Yav Dao, Ratanakkiri province.
