H&M to open a big flagship store at Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall in mid-September

World-renowned clothing store H&M on Sunday signed MoU with Chip Mong Retail to open another flagship store in Cambodia at the Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall, which is scheduled to open in mid-September.

Chip Mong Retail President, Lauk Chumteav Ly Sokchheng, said that the MoU reflects the joint commitment of Chip Mong Retail and H&M to provide the best products and services to Cambodian fashion lovers.

“The MOU reflects our mutual commitment to delivering the best quality products, quality services, and quality experiences for Cambodian consumers. Indeed, the MOU also signifies our common goal to boost Cambodia’s economic growth via job creation and increase domestic consumption because Cambodians will no longer need to travel abroad to purchase H&M,” said Lauk Chumteav Ly Sokchheng.

Director of H&M Philippe Lassaux said “It feels so good to be here to sign this MOU that would bring a lot of opportunity to both companies as well as benefit to our customers. We have decided to join this partnership because of trust for Chip Mong Retail”.

According to Philippe Lassaux, the new flagship store at Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall is big with a total retail space of 2,100 sqm and expands two floors. The store is scheduled to open on 12 September, the same time as the soft opening of Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall.

Chip Mong Retail has injected over 500 million dollars of investment to expand businesses in a shopping mall, supermarket, and express mart. Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall is the company’s latest and largest investment project. The mall locates in a busy commercial area in the southern part of Phnom Penh and is a ‘Home of Global Brands’, most of which are new brands that offer innovative products and services to serve the needs of the growing customers.

H&M is a famous global fashion brand with over 4,800 stores worldwide. H&M has been supporting Cambodia’s economy since the 1990s because Cambodia is one of the production sources for the company. It is known that H&M offers fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way with products ranging from clothes to accessories for people of all ages.
