Importance of air purifier and ventilation in building construction

During the COVID-19 pandemic era, air purifiers and ventilation systems have become essential in both commercial buildings and residential units. If a closed building does not have adequate airflow and a proper air purification system, the risk of getting infected is higher, if someone in the building is positive.

The smart ventilation system includes the installation of exhaust fans that can suck fresh air in and blow old air out. The fans are also equipped with anti-bacterial filters and a temperature control system to disinfect and lower the air temperature before allowing new air to enter the building.

If the system is applied in the general household, it will also help reduce the heat and increase airflow in the house, which will help users save electricity cost of turning on AC all the time.

Meanwhile, the air purifier system has also later played a vital role in residential households and commercial buildings. New technology has also been recently introduced known as the purification filter that can be equipped on existing air conditioners. After installing the filter, the conventional air conditioner will also work as an air purifier as well.

Both aforementioned technologies are being offered by Taiwan’s Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI), an institute funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs. CDRI is planning to bring these new technologies to the Cambodian market, along with other smart building materials.

CDRI has partnered with a wide range of companies providing almost every kind of construction-related products and services, ranging from Smart Power Management Solution, Time-Lapse Monitoring Recording Solution, Fire Alarm System, 3D Central Building Management System, among others.

This project is a part of the Wow! Taiwan campaign, an overseas marketing program that is funded by CDRI. The mission is to assist Taiwan businesses in connection with international companies by promoting high-quality Taiwan products.

For this year, Wow! Taiwan is shifting its focus to the Cambodian market and is currently looking for local business partners. Those who are interested can contact the Marketing & Consumer Behavior Research Division at Tel: +855 77 811 168 or charlie.wu@m-telligent.com / alexchang@cdri.org.tw
