In 2024, Cambodia receives more than 400 investment projects worth USD 6.9 billion

In 2024, the Council for the Development of Cambodia approved 414 investment projects, up from 268 in 2023, or 54%, according to a report released on December 20.

The approved investment projects had a total investment capital of USD 6,900 million, up 40% from USD 4,927 million in 2023.

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Techo Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia and Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, chaired the first meeting to review the works of the Council for the Development of Cambodia on December 20, 2024.

1. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has recently attributed the sharp rise to peace, political and macroeconomic stability, better legal frameworks and regulations, and the growth of the Cambodian economy.

He said that the government has been proactive in addressing the difficulties and challenges of the private sector forward to enhance the investment environment for both domestic and foreign investors.
