Intrepid Global Ventures Validates Major Efficiency Gains with Bentley Systems Software

Intrepid Global Ventures recently conducted a large-scale engineering study to modernize its telecom tower mount analysis workflows by benchmarking Bentley Systems’ OpenTower against traditional finite element analysis (FEA) methods.

By testing the software across more than 250 real-world mount configurations, Intrepid sought to move away from fragmented, manual processes toward a more integrated, automated digital environment.

The implementation of OpenTower allowed for comprehensive tower and mount modeling within a single, unified platform tailored specifically to TIA-222-H telecom design standards.

The software’s key benefits include automated load calculations, streamlined equipment modeling, and integrated compliance checks, which replace time-consuming manual data transfers. By utilizing these automated features, Intrepid successfully reduced total mount analysis time by 50% and decreased load computation and application efforts by 60%.

These advancements not only ensure faster project turnaround times and increased reliability for complex tasks like antenna swaps but also provide significant cost-saving potential, with the company estimating annual savings of USD 100,000 based on their typical project volume.
