Japan to Help Modernise Kesor Kol Conservation Centre

A Japanese investment company will help modernise the Sok An Research and Kesor Kol Conservation Centre using the world’s latest technology.

According to an official meeting on 18 November chaired by Minister of Environment HE Say Sam Al, these modern technologies include mega solar, green hydrogen, Micro-Grid, smart waste collection, smart road and mobility and other modern technologies.

The  Japanese company plans to cooperate with the centre to work on several key areas including:

  1. Set up a solar power supply system
  2. Establish infrastructure such as an electric vehicle transportation system
  3. Set up a solid-liquid waste management system
  4. Establish a water supply system

The minister also suggested establishing a working group to conduct a detailed study of the potential of the centre, which aims to in secure food security, increase revenue, and reduce poverty in the region.
