Kampot Governor Mulls Building More Luxurious Beach Resorts & Public Parks

Kampot provincial authorities plan to build more luxurious resorts and beaches to attract more tourists, according to Provincial Governor HE Mao Thanin on 5 September.

The governor said that Kampot is a coastal province with rich potential and resources, but the province has yet to offer luxurious beaches for tourists.

He added that the provincial administration plans to build a 2km beach along the Kampot river and another luxurious park nearby the new Kampot bridge.

The team is still studying both projects with no details yet disclosed. According to the initial plan, the park will include water fountains, gardens, Rumduol flower gardens, passenger ports, car parks, and rainbow-shaped boat docks, among others.

In the meantime, the working team is gradually filling in the sand to build up the foundation.
