Korea Extends Generous Funding of Nearly US$2 Million for New Referral Building in Pursat Province

In a significant development, the construction of a new non-communicable disease building at Pursat Provincial Referral Hospital, valued at nearly US$2 million, has commenced.

The groundbreaking ceremony for this vital project took place on June 27, 2023, with the esteemed presence of HE Professor Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, HE Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Province, and Mr. Song Yong-gun, Country Representative of the Korea Foundation for International Health Care (KOFIH).

Generously donated by the Government of Korea through the KOFIH’s Kofi Project, the new building will span 40.5 meters in length, 17 meters in width, and three stories in height. The construction is estimated to be completed within a period of 12 months.

This state-of-the-art facility will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to the local population, furthering the Government of Cambodia’s efforts to enhance the healthcare sector.
