Korean Auto Parts Manufacturer YURA Harness Plans to Establish a Research and Development Center in Cambodia

Korean auto parts manufacturer YURA Harness (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. is set to establish a research and development center in Cambodia, following the successful inauguration of its wiring assembly plant in Kampong Speu province.

This development was announced during a meeting between the delegation of YURA Harness (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. and the Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, HE Senior Minister Cham Prasidh, on April 27, 2023.

HE Senior Minister Prasidh expressed his full support for the establishment of the research and development center, emphasizing its importance as a tool to promote human resource development and institutional capacity building in Cambodia.

The company is urged to work closely with officials from the Ministry to exchange experiences and techniques and to support the country’s ongoing efforts to pass the draft sub-decree on research and development.

With an investment of around US$6.8 million, YURA Harness (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. recently inaugurated its car electronics assembly factory in Kampong Speu province.  (Read more)

As the first branch of YURA Group in Cambodia, the company aims to attract and employ more Cambodian engineering personnel to meet the needs of its growing factories. Currently, YURA Group has 71 factories worldwide, including 14 branches in Southeast Asia, 12 in Vietnam, and 1 in Indonesia.
