Ministry of Interior to reform national level land management-related service

The Ministry of Interior is committed to strengthening the quality of service providing information about land management, urban planning, and construction at the national level through a one-window service to give quality service provision to the people.

The study plan was discussed in a meeting between H.E. Khoung Sreng, Phnom Penh Governor and an inter-ministry working group led by H.E. Prak Sameoun held on 02 January.

The ministry said it had selected four provinces for the study on the procedures of the service. The provinces are Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Cham, and Siem Reap.

H.E. Prak Sameoun, Director General of Administration at the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Working Group, said that purpose of the study is to establish proper procedures for providing land management-related services at the national level.

He said that the current procedures on land management-related service provided at the one-window service units are complicated, leading to the poor quality service to people.

H.E. Khoung Sreng said he supports reform of the service of land management, urban planning, and construction so as to contribute to solving difficulties between officials and service recipients in an easier, faster and better quality way.
