NagaCorp Chairman: NagaWorld Fully Operational Despite Further Restriction

The casino resort complex NagaWorld in Phnom Penh remains open and fully operational despite a recent spike in community transmission in Cambodia, which led to stricter safety measures and travel restrictions, according to NagaCorp Chairman Tim McNally.

Tim McNally told GGRAsia that NagaWorld remains open and fully operational. He added that his casinos have adjusted very effectively following the change in government policy to cope with the pandemic.

“Due to the global virus, our current activities rely heavily on the domestic market. Tourism and business travel, in Cambodia and the world, have diminished significantly since last March,” Mr McNally told GGRAsia.

“We are pleased that our customer base in Cambodia remains strong and has allowed us to perform and succeed quite well despite the health and travel challenges,” he added.

Quoted to GGRAsia, Mr McNally said he is optimistic about 2021, as vaccinations are being initiated around the world.

“We are optimistic that business visitation and tourism will return during the first half of next year. This will bring about good news for Naga[World] as well as to others in the region,” said Mr McNally.
