NagaCorp to Start Superstructure Work on NagaWorld 3 in 2023

NagaCorp said that the superstructure works of NagaWorld 3 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia will start in the first semester of 2023, after the construction site preparation was begun in 2018.

According to the firm’s 2021 interim report released on 20 September, to date, the design development work is ongoing and is on schedule for the completion of the drawings and for the super-structure construction in 2023.

“The target for competing this work is the first half of 2023 after the foundation and basements have been completed and handed over to the super-structure construction team,” the report added.

NagaCorp also confirmed that Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, a Chicago, Illinois-based architecture and engineering firm in the United States, had already “completed the Naga 3 conceptual design”.

During the COVID-19 pandemic period, the company said construction progress was slightly disrupted due to cement, concrete, steel supplies and shipping logistic delays.

Upon completion, 93% of Naga 3’s gross floor area will feature non-gaming offerings, which is in line with the group’s long-term strategy of offering comprehensive lifestyle products and services.

All three Naga combined will offer approximately 5,000 hotel rooms, 1,300 gaming tables and 4,500 electronic gaming machines and many other non-gaming attractions.
