NR 41 Restoration Project Achieves 97% Completion with Over USD 67 Million Investment

The extensive restoration and upgrade of NR 41, spanning 95 kilometres, has reached 97.01% completion as of November 2024. This transformative infrastructure project, valued at over USD 67 million, is funded through a concessional loan from the Chinese government and aims to enhance regional connectivity and economic growth.

The update was confirmed during an inspection led by HE Suy San, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, on 3 December 2024.

The inspection involved collaboration among the Project Management Unit (PMU), the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), and the technical consulting firm WACC.

Significant progress has been made in paving the asphalt surface while installing essential traffic safety features—including signs, guardrails, and road markings—is nearing completion.

His Excellency reaffirmed the commitment to ensuring the project adheres to strict technical standards, guaranteeing durability and safety.

Connecting NR 4 at Thanl Toeng in Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province, to NR 3 in Chum Kiri district, Kampot province, this project is a vital upgrade for Cambodia’s transport infrastructure. Construction officially began on 26 December 2022 and represents a pivotal step towards streamlining transportation across key provinces. (Read more)
