Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se boosted Cambodia’s construction sector with US$5 billion and more to come

In a bid to develop Cambodia’s economy, one of the kingdom’s leading businessmen, Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, has invested around US$5 billion on various projects over the years.

In a recent exclusive interview with Construction and Property Magazine, Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se said the Canadia Group businesses are currently divided into two segments which include financial and construction and property, which include the development of international airports and tourism.

Speaking on the construction industry Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se explained how Canadia Group has invested around US$5 billion and created thousands of jobs and contributed heavily to the development of Cambodia. This resulted in 30,000 people being employed under the umbrella of Canadia Group.

While he didn’t mention the details of the investment, Canadia Group is known to have been behind the construction of massive projects including Cambodia’s first high-rise building Canadia Tower, Diamond Island, Olympia City, Chroy Chongvar Satellite City, Sovanna Shopping Center, Sorya Center Point (formerly known as Sovanna Shopping Center) among others as some of the best-known construction projects in the kingdom.

This is yet to include the ongoing projects that are set to change the profile of Cambodia’s construction industry and the country’s aviation sector.

Under his management, his firm that oversees the construction businesses, Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC), is responsible for the construction of the US$1.5 billion airport project in Kandal Province which is set to complete the first phrase in 2023. (Read more)

As the economy continues to grow, Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se said he will continue to invest a massive amount to develop many other projects across various sectors.
