New Siem Reap Airport Investment Company Announces Two-Year Access Fee Reduction

The New Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport Investment Company has unveiled a significant initiative aimed at facilitating smoother travel experiences for various vehicles accessing the airport. In a recent meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the Commission for Urgent Affairs discussed and approved a two-year reduction in the airport access fee, spanning from 2024 to 2025.

In Press Release No. 001/24, issued by the Office of the Council of Ministers on 11 January 2024, the new pricing structure comes into effect from 15 January 2024, onwards. This strategic move is anticipated to enhance accessibility to the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport, fostering convenience for various types of vehicles during the specified period.

Additionally, the investment company has committed to further enhancements by waiving parking fees for the initial 15 minutes for minivans (up to 7 seats) and 30 minutes for other vehicle types upon entry to the airport. This customer-centric approach is a testament to the company’s dedication to passenger satisfaction.

In alignment with the commitment to road maintenance and safety, the meeting also approved the establishment of an international commission under the Ministry’s purview. Comprising representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation, and local authorities, this commission will oversee the management of the airport’s access road.
