NR6 from Skun to Siem Reap to be Expanded to Four Lanes

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has unveiled a plan to expand NR6 from Skun to Siem Reap to four lanes to help to ease the travel of people and goods transportation.

Speaking at an opening ceremony of the Public Works Service Centre in Siem Reap on Wednesday, MWPT Minister HE Sun Chanthol said that the ministry is currently conducting a study on this project.

He added the project could be done in two phases. The first one will be the expansion from two lanes to four lanes for the Skun-Kampong Thom section. Meanwhile, the second phase will also expand the road from Kampong Thom to Siem Reap to four lanes.

Besides the expansion plan for NR6, the ministry has recently finished the feasibility study of expanding NR7 from Skun to Kampong Cham downtown to four lanes as well. (Read more)
