Polish Food Processing Company Plans Expansion in Cambodia

LipCo Foods, a leading Polish food processing company, has announced its ambitious plans to establish a food processing plant in Cambodia to cater to the regional market. The announcement was made during a pivotal meeting between HE Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and Mr. César Lipka, CEO of LipCo Foods.

HE Sun Chanthol highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to the private sector, recognising it as a crucial driver of national economic growth. Regular government-private sector forums are organised to offer private investors the opportunity to raise issues and find immediate solutions. The Council for the Development of Cambodia also conducts biannual meetings with prominent business associations, such as the Japanese Business Association, the American Chamber of Commerce, the European Chamber of Commerce, and the Korean Business Association.

During the meeting, Mr Lipka shared LipCo’s successful experience in the European food processing market, citing Poland’s rich natural resources and large-scale agricultural products, including pig farming and apple cultivation. He expressed his enthusiasm for expanding into Cambodia, citing the favourable trade and investment environment fostered by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

“Given the high attention from the Royal Government on trade and investment and Cambodia’s potential, we are optimistic about accelerating our investment plans here,” said Mr. Lipka.

This development underscores the collaborative efforts between the Cambodian government and international investors to bolster the country’s economic landscape.
