Siem Reap Bypass Construction Project Reaches Consulting Firms Selection Stage

Seven companies have submitted their Expressions of Interest (EOI) to provide consulting services for the Siem Reap bypass road construction project (EDCF Loan KHM-28).

The documents were initially reviewed during the meeting on 30 December chaired by HE Heng Ratanapiseth, Director General of the General Department of Public Works, and attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The Ministry has invited a total of 14 companies to apply, but after the closing date on 30 December, only seven companies have applied.

Those seven companies include: 1) Daehan Consultants Co., Ltd 2) Kunhwa Engineering & Consulting Co., Ltd 3) Dasan Consultants Co., Ltd 4) Dohwa Engineering Co., Ltd 5) Dongsung Engineering Co., Ltd 6) Yooshin Engineering Corporation and 7) Korea Consultants International Co., Ltd.

The ministry will review the documents further and select a company in the next procedure.

According to the ministry’s announcement in 2020, the Siem Reap bypass road will be built in the southern part of Siem Reap using the Republic of Korea Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF). The route was estimated to be 45km long. (Read more)
