Significant Progress in Land Registration Across Cambodia

The Cambodian Ministry of Land Management has announced remarkable strides in state land registration, with efforts now covering over 1,700 hectares nationwide. As of June 23, 2025, the ministry has successfully registered 1,059 land parcels, totaling approximately 1,763.43 hectares. This achievement is part of the systematic land measurement initiative, which has recorded over 13 million land parcels throughout the country.

In a previous update on June 5, 2025, the Ministry disclosed that the registration and measurement of both state and private land parcels had reached an impressive total of 13,337,507. This figure represents a substantial portion of the approximately 13.7 million estimated land parcels in Cambodia. (Read more)

Currently, 14 provinces have successfully completed the systematic land measurement process. These provinces include Kampong Cham, Svay Rieng, Siem Reap, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Oddar Meanchey, Mondulkiri, Kep, Preah Sihanouk, Takeo, Kandal, Preah Vihear, Prey Veng, and Tbong Khmum. Notably, seven of these provinces have officially announced the completion of their systematic land measurement activities, namely Kampong Cham, Svay Rieng, Siem Reap, Kampong Speu, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Chhnang, and Oddar Meanchey.

In addition, the ministry has indicated that 11 other provincial capitals are expected to finalize their systematic land measurement efforts in the near future.

The ongoing land registration initiative is a significant step towards enhancing land ownership clarity and promoting responsible land management in Cambodia, ultimately helping to foster socioeconomic development in the country.
