State to Establish 15 and Upgrade 7 Medical Facilities Nationwide

The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Interior has decided to establish 13 new health centres, 1 new referral hospital, 1 new health post, upgrade 2 referral hospitals and 5 health posts to be health centres throughout the country, according to the Inter-Ministerial Prakas No. 031 dated 26 July 2022.

The 13 new health centres will include:

  • Dey Krahorm Health Centre in Oddar Meanchey province
  • Tang Samraong and Trach Tong Health Centre in Kampong Speu province
  • O Sandan, Anlong Tnaot, Somkol Sen Chey Park, Rovieng, Santre, Rokat Health Centre in Pursat province
  • Kokir Saom in Svay Rieng province
  • Tumnob Rolok in Sihanoukville province
  • Pea Ream in Takeo province
  • Phat Sanday in Kampong Thom province.

Meanwhile, the ministries have also established A Yok Yern Yu Ou Bak Roteh Health Post under the charge of Thmey Health Centre in Sihanoukville province and established a referral hospital called Kaev Seima Referral Hospital, which is Complementary Package of Activities 1 (CPA1) hospital in Mondulkiri province.

Moreover, both ministries have upgraded two referral hospitals including the Referral Hospital of Udomeanchey Province, upgrading from CPA2 to CPA3 and Angkor Chum Referral Hospital in Siem Reap, which is upgraded from CPA1 to CPA2.

In addition, the two ministries have upgraded five health posts into health centres, including:

  • Oclor, Srae Chhuk, Peam Chi Meat Health Care in Mondulkiri province
  • Osoam Health Centre in Pursat province
  • Sieng Nam Kampong Phluk Health Centre in Seim Reap province.
