Steung Treng Province Issues Over 30k Land Titles and Registers 110k Ha of Social Land Concession

Steung Treng Provincial Administration has achieved significant progress in the systematic registration of land titles and social land concessions, according to a statement by Steung Treng Provincial Governor HE Svay Sam Eang on April 24. Over the past five years, the province has registered more than 30,000 land titles and over 110,000 hectares of social land concession.

The registration effort has covered 35 villages, with a total of 34,125 land titles issued to local people, demonstrating the government’s commitment to ensuring that landowners have legal ownership of their properties.

Meanwhile, Steung Treng Provincial Administration has registered 11 social land concession projects, equivalent to 151 titles, with a total area of 116,368 hectares. The government is currently measuring two additional social land concessions covering 94 hectares.

HE Svay Sam Eang stressed that the province will continue to improve the management of seven social land concessions covering more than 14,000 hectares, while also preparing to register land for two minority communities and issue land titles to two communities in the near future. The efforts aim to promote a fair and transparent system of land registration, which can foster investment and economic growth in the region.

Steung Treng Province’s systematic registration of land titles and social land concessions underscores the government’s commitment to supporting property rights and creating an environment conducive to investment and development. This will help promote sustainable economic growth and improve the livelihoods of local communities in the province.
