Taiwan to Assist in Modernising Cambodia’s Construction Sector Through Latest Innovations

Taiwan’s Commerce Development Research Institute (CDRI), an institute funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, has unveiled plans to enter Cambodia’s construction market through its renowned Wow! Taiwan campaign.

This large-scale marketing program intends to help connect Taiwanese businesses to local ones, as well as to assist in bringing products, technologies, and innovative services into the Cambodian market.

The objective of entering the Cambodian market is to help modernize and upgrade the construction sector, amid the existing potential and gradual local growth, said a CDRI representative.

Despite the rapid growth, CDRI observes that usage of smart and IoT technologies in the construction sector in Cambodia is limited. Thus, CDRI intends to fill in this gap through innovative products and services from Taiwan.

CDRI has partnered with a wide range of companies providing almost every kind of construction-related products and services, ranging from Smart Power Management Solution, Time-Lapse Monitoring Recording Solution, Fire Alarm System, Ventilation System, and 3D Central Building Management System, among others.

The Wow! Taiwan Project is an overseas marketing program that is funded by CDRI positioned as a national-level services research think tank in Taiwan and is sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT). The mission is to assist Taiwan businesses in connection with international companies by promoting high-quality Taiwan products.

For this year, Wow! Taiwan is shifting its focus to the Cambodian market and is currently looking for local business partners. Those who are interested can contact the Marketing & Consumer Behavior Research Division at Tel: +855 77 811 168 or charlie.wu@m-telligent.com / alexchang@cdri.org.tw
