Gov’t Allocates 6 Hectares of Land in South Phnom Penh to Two Tycoons for Visionary Development

The Cambodian government has granted an expansive parcel of land, spanning nearly 6 hectares, in the burgeoning south of Phnom Penh to two distinguished tycoons. Sub-Decree No. 262, issued on August 15, 2023, paves the way for a visionary development that promises to redefine luxury living and contribute to the city’s urban evolution.

The designated area, encompassing 58,167 square metres in Chak Angre Leu and Sangkat Chak Angre Krom, Khan Meanchey, along with Sangkat Dangkor, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, is part of the strategic demarcation outlined in Sub-Decree No. 124, dating back to 3 September 2008. This demarcation specifically addresses the transformation of Choeung Ek Lake and adjacent canals, situated in Khan Meanchey and Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, as well as Takhmao district in Kandal province.

While originally classified as state-owned public property, the allocated land will transform, featuring a meticulous subdivision into state-private land and private domains earmarked for the visionary ventures of Mr Leang Khun and Mr Thai Chea Huoth.
