The Gov’t Announces New Public Bus Lines to Techo International Airport to Ease Traffic Congestion

In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion and improve travel convenience, the Phnom Penh City Bus Autonomous Administration (CBA) has announced plans to launch two new public bus lines to Techo International Airport starting September 9, 2025. This initiative aims to provide residents and visitors with an efficient transportation option to one of Southeast Asia’s emerging international gateways.

The newly inaugurated bus lines will operate daily from 5:30 AM to 11:30 PM, offering consistent service for early morning travelers and late-night arrivals alike.

Route Details:

– Direction 1: Buses will depart from the Kuoc Kanong Roundabout Bus Terminal, proceed along Monivong Boulevard, reach the Morodok Techo Overpass, and continue down Samdech Techo Hun Sen Boulevard (60-meter road) to Techo International Airport.

– Direction 2: For return journeys, buses will depart from Techo International Airport, travel along Samdech Techo Hun Sen Boulevard (60-meter road) to Morodok Techo Overpass, and make their way back to the Kuoc Kanong Roundabout Bus Station via Monivong Boulevard.

Both routes will include four convenient bus stops:

  1. Canadia Park (in front of Royal Cambodian Railway Station) – AEB01, AEB02
  2. Royal University of Law and Economic Sciences – AEB03, AEB04
  3. BRED Bank on Samdech Techo Hun Sen Boulevard (60-meter road) – AEB05, AEB06
  4. AEON Meanchey Supermarket – AEB07, AEB08

This expansion of public transportation options is expected to significantly enhance connectivity to the Techo International Airport, thus supporting the capital’s growth as a regional travel hub. Authorities encourage all residents and tourists to make use of these new services, thereby contributing to a more sustainable urban environment.
