NR No. 71C Connecting Tbong Khmum & Kampong Cham Nears Completion

As of May 2024, the construction of NR No. 71C, spanning from Tbong Khmum district in Tbong Khmum province to Chamkar Leu district in Kampong Cham province, is 97.62% complete. This update was provided by HE Phorn Rim, Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, on 19 June 2024.

HE Phorn Rim confirmed that by the end of May 2024, the project, which stretches 114.62km from NR No. 7 point PK154+700 in Tbong Khmum to NR No. 71C point PK30+400 in Kampong Cham province, had achieved significant progress, 97.62%.

According to HE Phorn Rim, the construction team is currently focused on completing the remaining tasks, such as drawing traffic maps, installing traffic signs, planting milestones, and other final touches, to ensure full completion soon.

NR No. 71C, inaugurated on 23 November 2021, is funded by the People’s Republic of China with approximately US$129.98 million, alongside contributions from the Government of Cambodia. The road is scheduled to be fully completed by October 2024. (Read more)
