Work on Kratie-Kampong Thom Bridge to Begin Soon After PM Hun Sen’s Final Approval

Plans and studies of the Kratie-Kampong Thom Bridge are now complete with construction scheduled to begin soon after final approval by PM Hun Sen, according to the Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol during a PP-SHV expressway site inspection on 21 June.

HE Sun Chanthol said that the project has already secured financial support in form of a loan from China, while all related plans and studies have also been completed.

“We have submitted the plan to Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen. After his approval, we will proceed to sign a construction contract shortly,” he added.

According to the study, the bridge will be 1,761 metres long and will take approximately two to three years to complete. HE Sun Chanthol has said that the construction is scheduled to begin within this year. (Read more)
